Miss Mary's Coat of Many Colors

Miss Mary is always a little chilly during the winter months.  She spends quite a few days of these cold months shivering, so Ellie suggested we get her a coat.  I googled for a pattern, and sure enough found one. Bought a baby-sized quilt at Good Will for $1.99 and made her a coat.  Didn't think she would wear it, since she has gone almost 10 winters without one, but she loves it.  Silly goat prancing around in her new winter coat!

We received two cups from William and Marcia Abbott.  We met Bill while vacationing in Wyoming.  He is a potter with a shop in Centennial, Wy.  He gave us a tour of his studio, kilns and house.  Doug sent him a roll of gold leaf that he has had for years, and they sent the cups as a thank you.

Christmas Eve Lasagna

Ben, Doug and I made ten pans of lasagna for Christmas Eve and to share with friends and family.

Our Family Christmas

"Our Family Christmas" today.  After church we saw the Hubble at the Omni Theater in the Science Museum, browsed some exhibits.  Back at home we made pizzas and malts, played Farkle and then exchanged gifts.

Deep Snow

Cooper and I have been going out snowshoeing and enjoying all the new snow.  It has been quite a workout for us with the snow being so deep.  Thankfully there is another snowshoer around that has been blazing some of our trails.  Makes things a lot easier for Cooper and me.

Goats have been needing a little extra attention in this cold.  Mary doesn't like being cold, and the older she gets the worse it gets for her.  She doesn't seem to tolerate it as well as Moose.

Not much going on here.  Did my grocery shopping and running errands today.  Stopped at 12 places, Target, Fresh and Natural, Sam's Club, Library, Post Office, etc.  Good to get everything done in one day.

Christmas Tree Decorating

Started putting the decorations on the tree this weekend.

Doug and the John Deere did a great job clearing out the driveway. Doug spent 12 hours on service calls yesterday, then came home and cleared the driveway.  He's been gone all day today too.  Cold and lots of snow make for busy service guys.
