Cross Lutheran Church Annual Rummage Sale today and Saturday.  We have been getting ready all week, and have once again filled up the Park Building.

Clouds

Nest Building

Not the best picture, but we have a pair of birds building a nest in the honeysuckle vines on our front porch.  If you look close you can see the bird. Not sure what kind of bird it is yet.

Schooling w/Ben

Hostas

We dug, divided and  moved some hostas this evening.  Planting them in the area we cleared out a couple of weeks ago, and giving some away.

Raspberries

Doug and I moved some of our raspberry plants today.  We are trying to make a couple of narrow rows so the berries are easier to pick.  These are plants that I originally got from Mary Tharp when we lived in town, they produce great berries, and the stems don't have any thorns.  Nice!  Hopefully we will get a good crop of berries this year.

More Tulips

It Just Continues

Our wonderful spring continues.  Another beautiful day.  Nicki and Neena were over for half the day.  We went to the library and Color Crossings.  Nicki did some crocheting and knitting.  Neena helped me get my garden ready for planting, and then Nick planted some seeds.  It was a good day, good day.

 

My New Tractor

Doug found this on Craigslist and we picked it up on Saturday.  Came with a snow blower too.

Project Sunday

Doug and I got a lot done today.  Cleaned up a brush area, planted potatoes and 25 Ft. Laramie Strawberries and enjoyed brats over a campfire for supper.

We had a little extra help with the garden this year.

Ben's New Wheels

Ben bought his first set of new wheels Thursday evening.

Then on Friday, Doug found this set of new wheels for Ben.

Ben met Doug in Hudson, took a look, and bought it.

Bench

I took this picture while we were in Florida at a garden park.  Ellie got me into looking at benches.  They can be very interesting, and very detailed.  But sometimes you have to look closely.

Safe for Another Year

Moose and Miss Mary survived another threatening winter.  Doug, since he is the one that does winter chores, threatens during the months of January & February that it is time to "get rid of those goats."  Well, here we are, well into the month of April, and they are still here. So I think they are safe for another 10 months :) I'm on your side goats, as long as I don't have to do chores in the winter, if that changes, well they will be out of here quicker than a "blink of an eye".  But I won't be going out there in the winter, it's cold, and dark, and icky!

Ben's First Tax Season

Finished Ben's taxes just in time.  Need to get those mailed today!

Woke up to thunder and lightning and rain.  Lots of rain this morning.

Puts a Smile on Your Face

Ellie left this note during their spring break visit.  I kept it.  Puts a smile on my face every time I see it :)

We also had great news about Mom today, so it is totally appropriate.

Pretending to be Farmers

We had absolutely perfect weather today.  Doug and I spent the afternoon cleaning out the goat pen, clipping goat hooves, cleaning out the chicken coop and we even washed the windows in the coop. I think the goats and chickens are really happy.  Moose is especially glad that we didn't toss out his little house.

 

Opening the Screen Porch

We always look forward to "Opening the Screen Porch" for the summer season.  What a privilege to open it so early this year.  Look forward to spending lots of time out there.

Easter Blessings

The Easter Bunny sent Ben on a treasure hunt this year.  He was directed to go from one end of the house to the other, finding gifts such as graham crackers and marshmallows, loaf of bread, jar of Miracle Whip, sandwich meat.  Eventually bringing him to his final destination, the oven where he found a Panini Maker.

 

Just Silly

3D Imax movie at the Kennedy Space Center.  We actually saw two movies that day, and they were both fantastic. The moon and space are awesome in 3D.
