Painted the kitchen this weekend. Really like the yellow color.
Where the creek only runs when it rains and we have two goats and six chickens.

Mecca Gold or Indian Maize?
Next on the list is painting the window and stove/refrigerator kitchen walls. I want a color that is bold and different, but that coordinates with the other colors of the family room and newly painted kitchen wall. We narrowed it down to the following two colors, and I think we are going with the top photo color. It's amazing how different the colors can look when painted on the walls versus the small color paint chips that you pick up at the store.

Painting Project
Painted the pantry cupboard kitchen wall today. We have a few projects on our list that we want to get completed before Ben's graduation party this summer. Nothing like a party to motivate us to complete our projects.

February Lady Sweater
Class starts this evening at Color Crossings for February Lady Sweater. I'm nervous to be moving on to such a seemingly large project after having completed nothing bigger than socks.

1/11/11
Beautiful day for a snowshoe walk. Warm and sunny. We ventured out on some new trails today and came across an amazing cottonwood tree that branched out in three directions and has been occupying that space for many, many years. It was huge and beautiful.

Remembering
We attended the visitation and funeral of a good friend and fellow Cross Lutheran Church member, Gene Ruetz. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Donna and family. Gene knew how to live life.

Warmer in the New Year
We purchased and Doug installed two new storm doors for the screen porch. Hopefully this will help with keeping the dining room and bedroom warmer.
