Vintage Homecrest Chair for Airstream
Doug and I went in search of a chair for the Airstream. It needed to swivel, rock and be small as to not take up much space in the camper. We went to River Falls to search the local thrift stores in town. We found quite a few chairs at Treasures From the Heart and Second Chances. We bought this chair at Second Chances and think it will be a good fit. We will most likely be updating the vinyl fabric when we get the cushions made for the front benches. After a google search I found that the Homecrest Co. in Wadena, MN is still in operation selling patio furniture. After on-line browsing an archival catalog, I think this chair is from the early to mid-60s.
I was amused by what was printed on the still attached, never to be removed under penalty of law, tag. Dear homemaker...
Metal frame that has rocker and swivel mechanism.
A very good bargain.
